We’ve disliked them so badly that we said we’d just deal with the layover the next time… it’s just not worth it. The only positive was that to Cancun it was the only flight that didn’t have a layover. After paying for our checked luggage, a preferred seat, and (can’t remember what else), the tickets ended up being nearly as expensive had we just booked another airline. The customer service is abhorrent, you have to pay for literally everything - including a carryon (and that is more expensive for less weight than checking luggage), and their flight attendants I swear they pulled out of the gutters of the trashiest neighborhoods - super unprofessional and unpleasant & they FOR SURE don’t want to be there. We flew Spirit bc it was either go with them, spend $400 more on the All Inclusive to Mexico (and have layovers), or buy our own and waste the points. We’ve flown on Spirit twice in the last few years and United.
